Initial BMW Olympic Fleet is Worthy of the Gold

Earlier in our Taylor BMW blog, we spread the word of our favorite automaker's partnership with the 2012 Olympic Games. Now, we're pleased to inform you that BMW has unveiled 40 of the Olympic fleet models. Complete with snazzy, colorful decals, the first round of BMW Olympic models is sure to earn a gold medal for style.

Destined to provide exclusive transportation for VIP's throughout this summer's Olympic Games in London, the BMW fleet will be comprised of electrics, diesels, hybrids and motorcycles. Noticing a trend here? All the models will be highly fuel-efficient in order to comply with the London Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games' (LOCOG) strict green standards. Of course, Taylor BMW and enthusiasts know that BMW is more than well-equipped for the eco-friendly job. Amongst the BMW vehicles in the initial fleet are the BMW 520d EfficientDynamics and the BMW 320d EfficientDynamics.

Why such a varied round-up of new BMW vehicles? Tim Abbott, Managing Director of BMW UK, explains, "BMW's Olympic fleet needs to be varied to deal with the complex operational demands of the Games time effort. We were selected as a partner based on our ability to provide such a diverse fleet."1

As the Olympic Games approach and BMW continues to release more information regarding its VIP fleet of BMW models, Taylor BMW promises to keep you in the know. In the meantime, don't hesitate to stop by 4180 Washington Rd. Evans, GA 30809-3086 to test drive a current BMW model or talk to our BMW parts team about service and maintenance. We'd be more than happy to help in any way possible. After all, every BMW consumer is a very important person to us.
