The first generation of the BMW ALPINA B7 super-high-performance sedan was a wonder to behold. Twin-turbo high-torque power distinguished the sedan from similar new BMW vehicles in the German automaker's lineup while also giving it serious heart-pounding thrust. Taylor BMW of Evans, Georgia is thrilled to say that the 2013 BMW ALPINA B7 marks the second generation of the fast-moving BMW and is coming to American shores after making its debut in August at the historic Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
As the ALPINA B7 is built on the BMW 7-Series platform, many of the upgrades and additions are in tandem with the forthcoming 2013 BMW 7-Series sedan lineup. More power is one of the changes, with 40 additional horsepower versus its predecessor, now pegged at 540, 22lb-ft of increased torque and a new ALPINA 8-speed high performance transmission. Another change to the 7-Series and B7 alike is improved fuel-efficiency.
Trim lines run the gamut from the B7 Standard Wheelbase with MSRP pricing of $128,495 to the B7 LWB with xDrive for $135,395 including $895 destination and handling. Each design will arrive at Taylor BMW with 30-plus new parts crafted to enrich all aspects of the auto, from overall aesthetics to aerodynamics, efficiency to performance and safety. Among some of our personal favorite additions are:
- Xenon Adaptive Headlights
- Updated tail lights
- Ceramic secondary controls
- Automatic Start-Stop
- Active protection system
